Vasileia Karasavva is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of British Columbia with specialized training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, perfectionism, and life transitions. Her virtual therapy services at UPsilon Clinic focus on helping adults and teens navigate anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem challenges, and cultural adjustment issues.
With a collaborative, science-based approach, Vasileia integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with compassion-focused strategies to create personalized treatment plans. Her research examining online mental health information has been featured in major media outlets including the New York Times, NPR, CBC, and CTV.
Born and raised in Greece, Vasileia brings a unique multicultural perspective to her practice. She specializes in supporting immigrants and professionals navigating cultural transitions and identity challenges in Canada. Clients appreciate her warm, authentic therapeutic style that balances clinical expertise with appropriate humor and compassion.
