Financial Wellness For Therapists Workshop Series

Therapists and mental health professionals have spent years in training enhancing their knowledge, skills, and expertise. We strive to be the most ethical and skilled clinicians providing the best quality of care to our clients. Across all of our years of training, we have very limited access to financial education if any at all. In addition to limited opportunities for financial education, what further complicates things is that ‘money’ is a fairly taboo subject and often a value conflict for many compassionate therapists with a heightened awareness of privilege, diversity and inequity.

For many, financial literacy is acquired in a piecemeal fashion, learning as we go and hoping that we know enough to get by. The objectives of these Financial Wellness Series are simple:

  • to provide a resource to improve financial literacy
  • to share tips and strategies to enhance your financial wellness
  • to provide the language to be better informed and prepared when communicating with your financial and legal team about insurance, business, investing, building and managing assets, and retirement.
