Gonzalo De Lorenzo Diez

As UPsilon Clinic’s care coordinator, Gonzalo De Lorenzo Diez is instrumental in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for the clinic’s patients.

Gonzalo is a student at the University of Alberta. Born and raised in Spain, he approaches his work with a critical and international perspective. Gonzalo is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Alberta, with his cognitive psychology interests focusing particularly on perception and memory. Gonzalo is deeply curious about the behind-the-scenes and inner workings of the clinical psychology field and is passionate about using communication and creativity to promote mental wellness.

With a special interest in multiculturalism, travel, and language learning, Gonzalo is passionate about expanding his horizons and building meaningful cross-cultural connections. His extensive experience in several different cultural contexts fuels a deep appreciation for diversity in thought and understanding in the workplace. Whether learning a new language or engaging in cross-cultural dialogue, Gonzalo approaches each interaction with openness, interest, and a genuine desire to understand others. This global mindset enriches his academic work in psychology and displays his commitment to fostering inclusive, culturally responsive spaces within mental health environments.
