Aly Moscovitz

Canadian Certified Counsellor | Doctoral Practicum Student

Aly Moscovitz (she/her) is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a doctoral practicum student completing her PhD in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Western University.

At UPsilon Clinic, Aly provides virtual evidence-based therapy to adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), phobias, social anxiety, and panic disorder, as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma and stressor-related concerns, and low self-esteem. Her work integrates evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills, and motivational interviewing.

Clinically, Aly has completed supervised practicums across both treatment and assessment settings, including outpatient and inpatient care. Through these experiences, she has received training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and trauma and stressor-related concerns. She has also trained extensively in providing treatment for psychosis, including supporting individuals in understanding distressing experiences, strengthening coping strategies, and reconnecting with meaningful goals.

Aly’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. She takes time to get to know each client as an individual and tailors treatment to their unique goals, needs, strengths, and preferences. Aly is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space. She brings compassion, curiosity, and, when appropriate, humour into the therapeutic relationship, while helping clients build practical tools for navigating difficult thoughts, emotions, urges, and life experiences.

Aly’s clinical work is supervised by UPsilon Clinic’s Clinical Director, Dr. Jaleh Shahin, ensuring the highest quality of evidence-based care.
