Topaza Yu, M.A.

Education Coordinator

Topaza Yu is a Counselling Psychology doctoral trainee and a dedicated advocate. She brings her passion for mental health and advocacy to UPsilon Clinic as the Education Coordinator for our Financial Wellness Series for Mental Health Professionals.

Originally from Treaty 6 Territory (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), Topaza is guided by collaborative principles, ensuring that her work is shaped by the voices of those she serves. 

Her extensive advocacy experience includes serving on the Prime Minister’s Youth Council, board membership with the Asian American Psychological Association, and current board position with Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights.

With a professional focus spanning sexual and reproductive health, counselling psychology, and entrepreneurship, Topaza integrates equity and intentionality into her work. Her research centers on Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression practices, microaggressions, and vocational psychology, addressing the diverse and intersecting needs of those she serves.
